Last Night's Sopranos/Hard Knocks Mashup Is REALLY Making Me Want To Become A Jets Fan
Here in New York the Jets/Giants rivalry culture is a very interesting thing. Unlike the other crosstown rivalries in different sports they literally only play each other once every four years and despite a literal miracle it is SO unlikely they'd ever play each other in the Super Bowl...right? right? I know the Mets & Yankees are at least playing each other each season in the Subway Series, the Rangers & Islanders are literally in the same division along with the Knicks & Nets though frankly when you bring those up I'm not even sure if the Nets have fans so who cares about that?
Anyway, my point is as a Giants fan I've been warming up to the Jets over recent years. We've seen 2 Super Bowls for us in my lifetime, as previously stated play 'em once every 4 years, and they've just so been so absurdly horrendous recently that I genuinely don't care enough to not like them as much as I did in the Rex Ryan years. So now they have Aaron Rodgers (obviously) who's one of my favorite Sundae Conversations ever if not the best one? Once that deal went down I said out of respect to my best bud Jets fans and Mr. Rodgers I would be rooting for the Jets as a friendly this year!
Then they drop this goddamn Hard Knocks version of the Sopranos following Saleh as Tony and the team getting ready for their game to the theme song? I'm DAMN close to becoming a Jets fan after that. They're tugging at my heart strings. And we know the big man being a huge Jets fans basically gives them rights to all things Sopranos. This is tough for me. As of now I'm obviously still a Giants fan...but I officially do not hate the Jets in 2023.
